Homework
Students are responsible for doing their best effort on their homework every night. Learning new content does not happen quickly, only after a lot of practice can students perform a skill with speed and accuracy. Parents can "facilitate" homework by setting up a consistent organized place for homework to be done, hep establish a consistent schedule, encourage and motivate your child to do homework.
Homework is given Monday -Thursday. Sometimes we will have weekend homework if we are working on a special project.
No matter what your experiences have been with homework there are some questions you can ask that you will help your child:

- What do the directions say?
- What word or directions don't you understand?
- What do you already know that can help you?
- Tell me what you have done so far?
- Lets try drawing a picture or diagram.
- Tell me where you are stuck
- Who can you call to get help?
- What type of partial work does you teacher accept?
- Should we tackle this when you not so tired?
